Turn up the heat on a Philly favorite. The South Philly Heat Cheesesteak layers tender shaved steak, sautéed onions, and fiery long hot peppers, all melted together with bold, ultra‑creamy Cooper® Sharp White Cheese. Spicy, savory, and unapologetically indulgent, this sandwich delivers serious attitude in every bite.

Ingredients
-
1½ lbs shaved beef steak
-
1 tbsp neutral oil
-
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
-
3–4 long hot peppers, sliced
-
1½ cups shredded or hand-torn Cooper® Sharp White Cheese
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
-
4 hoagie rolls, split
Directions
Heat oil in a large skillet or griddle over medium‑high heat.
Add sliced onions and long hot peppers. Cook 5–7 minutes until softened and lightly caramelized. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add shaved steak, season with salt and black pepper, and cook until just done, breaking it up as it cooks.
Return onions and long hot peppers to the skillet and toss with the steak.
Reduce heat to low and evenly sprinkle Cooper® Sharp White Cheese over the mixture.
Cover briefly until cheese melts completely into the steak and peppers.
Scoop mixture onto hoagie rolls and serve hot.
